In Iraq, the prevalent karat is 21K. Therefore, whoever owns wealth equivalent in value to 85 grams of 21-karat gold has reached the Nisab.<br \/>\n\u2014 The Iraqi Zakat Calculator applies precise adjustments between different karats. Since the Nisab benchmark is 21K, it is natural that when you enter 24K gold, the Nisab will be reached with less than 85 grams \u2014 and conversely, if you enter 18K gold, you will need more than 85 grams to reach the Nisab.<br \/>\n\u2014 One of the Sharia standards is that the gold price must be calculated without craftsmanship value (bullion price).
