Iraq's First Specialized Zakat Platform
Zakat Platform is an awareness and service initiative by Al-Rakeezeh Foundation. It was born out of the preparatory discussions for the First Zakat Management Conference held in Baghdad in February 2026, in response to a social reality marked by a notable decline in the presence of Zakat as a binding religious obligation — not merely a voluntary charity.
The platform aims to contribute to the revival of Zakat in Iraq by combining religious awareness with jurisprudential discipline, and by providing accurate calculation tools that help Muslims fulfill this obligation with confidence and clarity.
In pursuit of this goal, the platform's first service product is the Iraqi Zakat Calculator, which enables users to calculate their Zakat accurately, generate a digital report that can be saved, and offers the option of direct electronic payment through local and international transfer gateways.
The platform relies on the approved Islamic jurisprudence references in Iraq, with due consideration for comparative fiqh and scholarly differences between schools of thought. The calculator, its formulas, and overall experience have been fully supervised, reviewed, and approved by the Secretary-General of the Council of Iraqi Scholars, His Eminence Sheikh Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abd al-Aziz al-Ani — may God preserve him.
